Hailing from Langley, British Columbia, Cashton's passion for storytelling stems from his love of people (and all their eccentricities). As a kid experimenting with hobbies such as skateboarding, basketball, football, and street hockey, Cashton has rubbed elbows with a vast array of individuals en route to discovering his vocation. He credits his mother for instilling in him her creative spirit, and his father for stuffing Harry Potter and Anthony Horowitz novels into his hands to keep him occupied after hours of recreational sports. 

In 2016, completing one semester of prerequisite classes at BCIT for a shot at the fulltime Broadcast and Journalism program, Cashton veered off course and found a conduit to a more favourable type of storytelling: film. After a string of incredible movie viewings (in the crime genre, primarily), he wanted to replicate that feeling of "you're in the right hands, but you're not ready for what's coming," in his own projects. Several short films, weddings, music videos and advertisements later, his passion burns brighter than ever and his lifelong goal of writing and publishing a novel has come to fruition in Glass Shadow.

With his twenties soon to be behind him, Cashton looks forward to what's next and whose story to tell.
